Lower Park – Park Pool – 12-04-18

Firstly thanks to Taff, Worms, Hamper and No Barra for your work on and before the day without the efforts of these people matchday would be chaos.

Last years trophy winner Darran “Semi Pro” Mills was on hand to defend his crown

A matching Gag would have been nice

Adroit take Health and Safety for its members very seriously and following some early retreats of “The Big Fella” which had nothing to do with him catching fook all so it was assumed it could only be down to the cold, Mick “No Barra” Drew kindly got him some thermal ear warmers to keep fishing for the full match duration, if only he’d got us all a pair so we didn’t hear TBF all match 🙂

There was some serious rule breaching going on pre-match with Gary “The Villian” Hampshire prebaiting his swim then saying he accidentally knocked his bait in while setting up, good try Gaz but 6 pints of maggots all cupped in? eyes are on you for future matches

Country Files – Presented by Mick Edwards

As the match got underway it was apparent that Worms and Rumbold fancied a stroll around the lake covering the fact by a series of long casts to the island to retrieve their feeders, the industrial language heard following the congratulations from the other Adroit members on their casting abilities was a little upsetting given what shy retiring characters we all are.

Worms then went on to give everyone an alternative lesson on landing a fish

The Chimp or The Gimp as he’s known in Skeggy with his 35:20Lbs 1st Place

The match was won by Mark “The Chimp” Dennahay fishing Pellett in the Margin to record an excellent 35:20

2nd placed was bagged my Mark “Bru” Butterworth fishing red meat and pellet feeder to the far bank returning 16:40, El Presidente finished 3rd with 13:70 on soft pellet

Not every day you get a photo with a 10lb Carp and Harry Hill

which was helped by this 10:40 Lbs munter at the end and register the first “Biggest Fish” of the season.

Mick the fish grabbed 4th place with 13:15 with pellet off the far bank with sections to Hamper John and Matt HMP Holloway.

A Tattoo would save on Fluro paint costs

Gaz “The Spod” Sadler continued his campaign to be all all-time Bini champion by recording his first of the season.

I think everyone is looking forward to warmer days ahead and some better days on the box, but lets never forget why we do it and the happy memories we are creating.

All the match results are available on the website.
