Following the relaxation of the lock-down rules and the permitted re-start of match fishing we will be implementing these procedures to keep the participants and volunteers safe during match days, it is the individual’s responsibility to maintain 2m safe social distancing at all times and use hand sanitation.
Pools Competition
There will be no pools competition at this time until there is a safe way to exchange funds without the risk of cross contamination.
The Draw
Pegging out will be done in the usual manner and the pegs selected will be placed in the draw-bag, the person who takes ownership of these draw tokens will randomly select individuals from the second bag of anglers present and then a peg token for that angler from the draw-bag at the pre-match chat and they will be recorded by the person who will record the weights at the weigh-in.
Once you have a peg number go to your peg and try and maintain a safe 2m area around your tackle and access areas, please consider pedestrians if the pathways are narrow.
Weigh-in
This will comprise of 2 people, The Bucket Man and the Weight Recorder. The bucket man will place the weigh-in bucket in a safe 2m area, the angler will then tip the fish into the weigh bucket and then step 2m back allowing the bucket man to place the bucket on the scales, he and only he will shout the recorded weight to the weight recorder before returning the fish and replacing the bucket in the safe 2m area if multi weighs are required.
Lose fish and removal of fish due to over maximum for scales will be done by the bucket man.
Following the scales around the weigh-in is not permitted.
Results
The preliminary individual top 3 will be txt to everyone at the end of the day together with an image of the weigh-in sheet, the formal results will be posted on the website in due course as normal.
General
Please be patient during this process, it will take longer than normal but be mindful it is for the safety of the members and their families that we take these rules onboard.
Casual bank walking during the match should be for purpose only not for a chat.
Maintain the 2m safe distance and avoid cross-contamination, as the COVID-19 situation develops we will continue to review our best practice.
