Adroit AC was formed in 1984 by Rob Taylor, Paul Slater, Roy Ravenhill and John Lester having an initial membership of 17, Roy Ravenhill is the longest serving member who has continuous club membership since formation.
The inaugural year saw the club fish 5 matches all on rivers with the 1st match being won by mark Houchin with 2lbs 5oz and the match total being 10lbs 0.75oz.
Today the club enjoys a healthy membership of 24 fishing 10 matches a year and also has a healthy social post match scene with a Christmas bash and a well attended unofficial festival in September.
