Todays match was a tough affair and I think everyone expected it to fish better than it did? Whether this was because of the rain that’s gone in or numbers of anglers on the lake who knows – but for most it was very difficult for getting regular bites.

Way way out in front was “Saddle Sore” Sadler with a load of edge fish on the pole for 65lb 8 ounce on corn and pellet to paralyse the match – Good Lad 3 matches won in 2016 and soaring up the league table! WELL DESERVED!

2nd place it was good to see Rob Taylor get in the main frame with a last gasp manic last hour catching lots of carp closer in for 38lb 6 ounce banged on the scales

In 3rd place was “The Chimp” who caught on pole and pellet mainly with 29lb 8 to just edge out a raft of anglers with mid 20 odd pound weights. Denny also managed to beat Roy to progress through to the finals of the Individuals.

4th place and only just behind was the man in form Brian Dennahay with 27lb 3 ounce with a right horse out the edge and one on the whistle as well hehehehe

You always fish to the whistle hehehehe……..

Those that don’t know Brian fishes his local clubbie water and won “GOLDEN peg” a few weeks back well this week he narrowly missed out off golden peg by just 3 OZS

The first section pegs 2-18 was edged by Mick The Fish by 0.5 ozs with 24lb 3ozs

The second section 22 -35 was won by none other than Poncey Paul with 24lb 7 ozs again with loads of close weights around 12 anglers with 20lbs+

Skeg Vegas next weekend which should be a good for the 12 anglers + BONES that’s going!
